Oliver’s is by far the best restaurant on the bay! The service was great and the food was so fresh. I highly recommend the “Don’t Give Up the Shrimp” appetizer. It was outstanding!

Now open for lunch Wednesday – Sunday, starting at 11 am! Located on the eighth floor of The Hampton Inn & Suites on Erie’s beautiful Bayfront, Oliver’s Rooftop, treats guests with inventive and extraordinary chef-inspired cuisine served with stunning views and captivating sunsets or nature watching.

Oliver’s Rooftop offers incredible vantage points of Presque Isle Bay provided by massive floor-to-ceiling glass panels. A retractable glass wall allows for open-air dining on the rooftop balcony in favorable weather. Preview the stunning sights with the Oliver’s Skyview Camera. 

Oliver’s Rooftop is a one-of-a-kind culinary destination that pays homage to Erie’s rich maritime history. Oliver’s is named in honor of Oliver Hazard Perry, an American naval commodore, who is most known for his heroic role in the 1813 Battle of Lake Erie. This battle is considered to have been the pivotal American victory in the Battle of 1812. Visitors to Oliver’s Rooftop will have the chance to view Perry’s 110-foot flagship, the US Brig Niagara, moored in her home port adjacent to the restaurant.

Meet The Chef

Chef Rick

Chef Rick has been developing award-winning culinary destinations for decades. As if by fate, his professional career began in 1990 at another restaurant named Oliver’s located in Buffalo, NY. In the years since, Chef Rick launched a number of beloved restaurants. Chef Rick helped to launch the Blue Heron on Geist Reservoir in Indianapolis, followed by his own restaurant across the street named Eddy’s, which is still open today. After relocating back to his hometown of Buffalo, NY, Chef Rick opened David’s Grill and then eventually opened Rick’s On Main in East Aurora, NY. Throughout his career, Chef Rick has been supported by his wife Cathy, who helps to make many of these restaurants possible. Chef Rick is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America.
